Common Questions

  • How do I delete my account? In the app: Profile > Settings > Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, photos, events, friendships, and messages. You can export a copy of your data first from the same screen (Export My Data).
  • How do I report content or a user? Long-press a chat message and tap the flag, or open a profile or event and tap the menu (⋯) > Report. See our Community Guidelines for what is and is not allowed.
  • How do I block someone? Open their profile, tap the menu (⋯) > Block. Blocking is immediate and stops all interaction.
  • Why can't I see event photos yet? Disposable camera photos stay hidden as blurred previews until 9 AM the morning after the event ends. That reveal moment is the core of fomo, not a bug.
  • How does contact sync work? If you enable it, fomo matches hashed phone numbers only. Contact names never leave your device. You can turn contact sync off any time in Settings.
  • How do I manage notifications? Profile > Settings has a per-type toggle for friend requests, messages, event reminders, photo prompts, and friend activity.
